Financial Professionals or Industry Career-Changers
Located in the Milwaukee headquarters and select branch locations, this extremely competitive rotational program lasts up to two years and sets Baird apart in the industry. Foundations is comprised of three phases and includes education and hands-on experience in specific Private Wealth Management functions, with the potential to join an existing wealth management team. The goal is to train young professionals who aspire to be a Financial Advisor on how to give wealth management advice to clients so they are able to accomplish their goals. The practical work through the rotations provides meaningful, first-hand understanding, strengthening investment knowledge, communication skills, and sales abilities. The program also fortifies one’s character, increasing resiliency, driving a stronger work ethic and initiative, teaching humility, fostering human connection and embracing diversity.

3+ Years of Sales or Related Experience and a College Degree
Those selected to join Baird as a new Financial Advisor Trainee will have the benefit of a 3-6 month comprehensive training and development program, designed to help top-performing professionals successfully transition into this role. This program is by invitation only and trainees are recommended into the program through an experienced Financial Advisor.

If you are currently a full- or part-time student and have customer service or sales experience and a strong interest in financial services, this may be the path to learn if a career in Wealth Management is right for you. We have both summer and year-round internships in many of our PWM branch locations. Our PWM interns often move on to full-time roles within Private Wealth Management and throughout Baird.
