If so, the Co-heads of Baird’s Global Industrial’s Group (GIG) within Investment Banking are seeking a GIG Industrial Operations Coordinator.  This role will provide day-to-day support and leadership on numerous initiatives including group-level project management and coordination with constituents both internal and external to the group to ensure timely and successful execution. Reporting directly to the Co-heads of Industrial, the Industrial Operations Coordinator will be expected to quickly understand the business, group goals and project objectives, and, with that knowledge, work autonomously with limited day-to-day oversight to deliver results.

This role requires you to create and manage project plans, communicate integration milestones and statuses, engage and motivate cross-functional teams as needed and impact, coordinate calls, take meeting minutes and provide presentations for various internal and external marketing initiatives, conferences, and meetings.

As a Global Industrial Group Operations Coordinator, you will provide

Tactical Support for Industrials GIB Co-Heads:

  • Coordinating the execution of strategic development initiatives to support business goals

  • Leading initiatives from inception to implementation, in partnership with others, by defining scope, timelines, tracking of key success indicators and briefing the leadership team

  • Developing and relying on relationships with others to deliver coordinated support to the Industrial Group including various corporate support teams and other industry and product groups within Global Investment Banking

  • Identifying areas for innovation and transformation by building consensus and stakeholder buy-in around recommendations

  • Seeking ways to improve and automate processes to ensure group-level scalability

  • Introducing and leveraging solutions used by other teams, and fostering a culture of innovation

Marketing Efforts:

  • Managing and coordinating multi-channel marketing campaigns, one-off marketing executions, and initiatives for the Industrials Group with corporate teams (e.g. marketing, website, social media, PR, etc.)

  • Staying current on best practices and providing guidance on appropriate execution across all channels

Client Engagement:

  • Planning and coordinating client events in conjunction with the corporate events team

  • Facilitating relationships and encouraging ongoing dialogue

  • Answering, screening and/or initiating client communication via email

Internal Team Coordination:

  • Assisting with preparation work for mid-year and year-end performance review, promotion and compensation processes (i.e., logistics, drafting agendas, etc.)

  • Maintaining and distributing weekly status reports, soliciting pitch/deal activity from bankers and administrative assistants and maintaining sector team dashboard to ensure its integrity and accuracy

  • Editing and maintaining group organizational charts and related materials

  • An emerging marketing skillset, built on sound execution and process management, with exposure to strategy (client relations, application of research/benchmarking, planning and analysis), messaging development (including value proposition and sales enablement), conference coordination and execution management (ideation, development, execution, and program management).

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 5-10 years of relevant experience

  • A strong work ethic, demonstrated record for excellence and ability to function equally well in both a team setting and on a self-directed basis

  • Able to tolerate peak workloads, to deal with constant interruptions and to maintain flexibility and composure in a high volume, high intensity, hectic environment

  • Flexibility in handling multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing assignments accordingly

  • An advanced knowledge of the investment banking industry

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, PowerBI)

  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
