The IRA Account Transactions Analyst is responsible for the review, validation, monitoring and tax reporting of IRA clients and accounts. The Analyst is responsible for assisting internal clients, including Financial Advisors. Client Specialist or other branch support associates that may have questions regarding, their external client accounts, workflows, and policy and procedures. The IRA Analyst is responsible for independently investigating and resolving more complex or escalated questions or situations They partner with the Managers and Tech Leads within Client Account Support to identify and implement improvements timely. 

As an IRA Account Transactions Analyst, you will:

  • Provide high value service to internal and external clients in an environment that promotes Baird’s culture and the Operations mission and values statement.
  • Support team as the IRA subject matter expert on regulations and policies, understand end-to-end processes.
  • Utilize data analysis to monitor process efficiency for IRA related Tax Reporting, Distributions, Contributions, Required minimum Distributions (RMD), and other related tasks.
  • Assist with the resolution of complex process issues, branch issue resolution and/or error resolution.
  • Identify and contribute to productivity, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to drive exceptional client service and risk mitigation. Lead change for more effective retail and/or IRA functions and processes.
  • Interface with various Baird business units to support firm wide and Operations initiatives.
  • Demonstrate and apply understanding and knowledge of markets, products, processes, regulations and systems required to deliver on business objectives.
  • Partner with Corporate Resource Group teams to implement and develop policies to satisfy regulatory obligations.
  • Establish teamwork through collaboration, mentoring and contributing to the development of associates.
  • Partner with the Technical Lead and Sr. Analyst to drive key projects and initiatives.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of IRS rules and ability to manage through complex situations.
  • Responsible for carrying out Written Supervisory Procedure (WSPs) tasks & ensuring associate adherence to them.
  • Support on-boarding for new associates in the Specialist, Sr. Specialist roles.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5 years of IRA or other relevant experience.
  • Experience with BETANxT preferred.
  • Ability to develop and foster relationships outside of the organization with various vendors.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to perform complex problem solving.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments; work under pressure and within deadlines and produce accurate, high-quality results with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Passion for providing high-value client service.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively, relating to others in order to accomplish work responsibilities and objectives.
  • Diverse understanding of operational procedures and processes.
