The Technology Solutions Team is an established group within Baird’s Private Wealth Management Technology Best Practices department with a mission to help grow revenues and improve profitability by motivating the sales force to use desktop technologies more strategically. We pride ourselves on providing our Financial Advisors with best in class technology tools that are critical in driving our business forward, and we are committed to coupling these tools with best-in-class technology support.

The Specialist will be expected to play a leading role in the development of key group methodologies and best practices. This position offers significant exposure within the firm, and the Specialist will be expected to build and maintain relationships with our Financial Advisors, Client Specialists, Sales Management, and various corporate resource groups. The Specialist will also gain wide exposure to our Products and Services offerings.

As a Technology Solutions Specialist you will:

  • Provide in-depth functional application coaching to end users, both reactively and proactively to ensure that Advisors and Client Specialists are using their Wealth tools strategically for clients.
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert on PWM’s key desktop technologies.
  • Proactively offer Technology Best Practices services and consultations both remote and in-person including participating in established on-boarding and coaching programs.
  • Seek out advisor opportunities to educate on new software tools and methods available to assist their clients.
  • Partner with Technology Product Manager team to compile and evaluate technology enhancement requests.
  • Coordinate with Technology Product Manager team and IT for UAT system testing, enhancements and fixes, and other related project base activities.
  • Balance related project work with daily PWM field facing support activities.
  • Partner with Service Desk and IT, assisting on calls and educating internal teams on current issues.
  • Have the opportunity to directly advance technology platforms by partnering with technology product, implementation, and on-going support teams.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 3 - 5 years experience within wealth management preferred.
  • Ability to complete SIE, Series 7 licensing in first six months.
  • Superior customer service attributes; willingness to go “above and beyond” for your client.
  • Strong comfort level with technology and the ability to explain new concepts effectively to end users.
  • Must have ability to multitask, shift work priorities due to business needs and work well under deadline driven environment.
