Our New York sales team is seeking an Institutional Sales Professional who works well within a team, is entrepreneurial, highly driven and thrives in building relationships. This individual will collaborate and contribute within a tenured sales team with a primary focus on growing the business through building new and maintaining current client partnerships. This role provides exposed to a broad array of equity research and investment banking products which are marketed to the investment management, mutual fund, pension fund and hedge fund communities.
As an Institutional Equity Sales Associate, you will:
Work in a client-first, team environment with a primary focus on building prospective and maintaining current client relationships
Build long term client partnerships by understanding client objectives to create customized advice for investment ideas
Drive greater client interactions by marketing Baird resources (research insights, analyst connections, and corporate introductions)
Proactive collaboration across the team and department to continue growing the business with an entrepreneurial approach
Internal teamwork across Equities, i.e. Trading, Research, Corporate Access, Investment Banking
Travel several times per month to client locations, hosting client meetings and client entertainment

What we look for:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related field, and a minimum two (2) years of experience in a professional industry
Series 7 and 66 are a plus or will be required within the first six months after start date
Exceptional communication skills - ability to effectively exchange information and influence others with a high level of professionalism
Strong analytical skills with the aptitude to absorb large amount of data and disseminate key points
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment with minimal supervision and positive approach
