We have a unique opportunity to join our high performing Talent Development team as a Talent Development Specialist! We are looking for someone that is tech savvy, resourceful, and a great collaborator.
The Baird Talent Development team strives to deliver modern, effective learning solutions to drive professional development for Baird’s greatest asset – our associates. This team partners closely with internal clients and the HR Business Partner teams to successfully collaborate and execute on key HR programs and projects. When new HR client needs arise, the team will often work to scope, design a process and / or manage key client work. To sum it up, the team is made up of agile experts partnering to drive great results for our internal partners and clients.
The Talent Development Specialist provides execution support to talent management solutions for the firm and its business units and departments. These roles are critical to the success of providing talent development solutions to our associates and involve partnership with our TD team and business unit clients. Using project management and execution skills, the Specialist will be a go-to for key initiatives that help improve the talent at Baird.
As a Talent Development Specialist, you will:
Collaborate with the Talent Development Team, and internal client groups to implement management and leadership development initiatives, business specific education initiatives, and other firm wide programs.
Focus on analytics that will support the Human Resource Business Partners, and the Talent Development Team through meaningful reporting on associate content consumption, enrollment and completion tracking using Workday Learning.
Partner with SMEs from across the firm to assists in the design and development of effective on-demand learning content leveraging various platforms (e.g., TechSmith Camtasia, Articulate Storyline).
Develop and manage firmwide learning campaigns using Workday Learning in partnership with internal clients such as the Compliance Department, or the Branch Productivity team.
Support the design of training programs for associates, managers, and/or leaders by editing, developing, updating, and maintaining learning content.
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders to assure that talent management practices are aligned with Baird’s strategic business goals and outcomes. Provide recommendations to increase program effectiveness.
Act as project manager on projects, including monitoring project progress and results delivery. Identify and work to resolve program problems in a timely fashion.
Serve as a liaison and point-of-contact for external training/development vendors as appropriate.
Work closely with Talent Development Consultants to execute development programs to strengthen the depth, breadth, skill, and diversity of Baird associates.

What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Behavioral Sciences, or related field.
Minimum two to five years HR experience, with experience in designing, implementing, delivering, and monitoring training programs required.
Effective inter-personal and influencing skills.
Understanding of adult learning and training practices, programs, and plans.
Strong work ethic, motivated and solutions orientated.
Familiar MS Office products (PowerPoint, Word and Excel, Outlook).
Preferred knowledge of Workday and Workday Learning.
Preferred knowledge of video and e-learning creation software (Camtasia, Storyline).
Ability to anticipate and resolve problems; contingency planning capabilities.
Knowledge of "best-in-class" HR - development practices.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple initiatives/projects/tasks.
