This position is responsible for working with Baird’s Digital Marketing Technology team in leading and executing its daily activities, including facilitating and managing websites, landing pages, email marketing and translating visual designs into functional and interactive applications. This position also serves as the primary backup for the team’s website content management function.
As a Digital Design Specialist, you will:
Support digital marketing design activities such as website redesigns, landing page creation/refreshes and email campaigns while optimizing for search engines (SEO) and analytics reporting. Use responsive design techniques (combination of HTML and CSS) for digital marketing projects, where appropriate.
Support BairdWeb intranet by managing content, supporting BairdWeb content owners and troubleshooting issues with IT.
Partner with Marketing & Communications Associates, IT, Compliance and others across the Firm to contribute to the development and refinement of digital marketing processes, procedures, standards and best practices.
Design and create graphics, advertising, static banners, animated banner ads and templates as part of multi-touch campaigns and overall company branding.
Provide support to internal Google analytics website report requests as needed.
Remain current with digital technologies and emerging trends that could benefit Baird and its clients.
Assist with and lead other digital marketing projects as necessary.

What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree required; degree in Marketing or IT, with a digital marketing/technology emphasis.
Communication skills are critical in articulating digital marketing best practices to internal clients.
Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience working in a structured digital marketing environment, with emphasis on coordination, support and project management. Experience in financial services preferred.
Proficient in fundamentals such as HTML/CSS along with UI/UX experience for designing responsive website pages.
Knowledge of enterprise content management systems such as EpiServer/Optimizely and Sharepoint Online a plus.
Knowledge of Google analytics, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and multiple browsers required; Strong attention to detail, demonstrated quality assurance and organizational skills required: ability to prioritize tasks, follow through to completion of a project and work under strict deadlines.
Must be a strong team player and able to work independently; creative thinking and excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.
