Our intern program:
Our competitive intern program offers interns exposure to the business world and a meaningful work experience. Our Fixed Income Capital Markets Team:

The Fixed Income Capital Markets team serves institutions globally from offices nationwide. We research, sell and trade a full array of taxable and tax-exempt securities as specialized fixed income teams. The Fixed Income Capital Markets Intern will work closely with public finance bankers, sales, trading, compliance, technology, and other support groups.

Internship Location, Availability, and Hours:
Located in our Downtown Milwaukee office, the intern must be able to work part-time during the school semesters, 15-20 hours per week, and full time during the summer, 37.5-40 hours per week. We are seeking a student who can start in January 2022.

As a Fixed Income Capital Markets Intern, you will:

  • Conduct review of preliminary official statements as required for competitive and negotiated underwriting deals, performing 5-year look backs to ensure issuers have satisfied their filing obligations

  • Assist in monitoring and analyzing exception reports for Fixed Income sales and trading

  • Open new accounts and help maintain counterparty documentation

  • Coordinate with support groups on updating policy and procedures

  • Routinely update platform access and entitlements for internal and external contacts

  • Support team members as necessary

What we look for:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related Business degree; targeting a graduation date of May 2023 or later

  • Interest in learning about financial markets and financial regulatory requirements

  • Excellent analytical skills and strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workflow, and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and reliability

  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively independently and in a team
