Job Description

As an Advisory Operations Senior Analyst, you will:
  • Provide high value service to internal and external clients in an environment that promotes Baird’s culture and the Operations mission and values statement.
  • Support team as the subject matter expert on regulations and policies, understand end-to-end processes.
  • Utilize data analysis to monitor process efficiency and/or identify data integrity exceptions.
  • Ability to be versatile across platform, products, and within Operations to strategically drive results and be proactive.
  • Assist with the resolution of complex process issues, branch issue resolution and/or error resolution.
  • Identify and contribute to productivity, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to drive exceptional client service and risk mitigation.
  • Interface with various Baird business units to support firm wide and Operations initiatives; serve as main partner during conversion/transition activities.
  • Demonstrate and apply understanding and knowledge of markets, products, processes, regulations and systems required to deliver on business objectives.
  • Partner with Corporate Resource Group teams to implement and develop policies to satisfy regulatory obligations.
  • Establish teamwork through collaboration, mentoring and contributing to the development of associates. Identify and mentor talent within the team; partner with manager on developing top talent.
  • Participate on project teams creating requirements and testing through workflow analysis and use cases. Evaluate recommendations to determine impact to process/platform; communicate responses effectively across varying audiences.
  • Research, coordinate and execute complex advisory account scenarios while providing accurate direction to Baird’s branches and other internal departments.
  • Demonstrate strategic mindset and thought leadership through broader firm and external engagement.
  • Ability to create, execute, and evaluate project and test plan requirements for operational aspects of Baird’s advisory programs. Provide recommendations and independently make decisions for the team.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and use that knowledge to help prioritize department initiatives, develop standards and set policies specific to Baird’s advisory programs.
  • Perform other duties as required.

What we look for:
  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years related of experience in a financial services operations role is a plus.
  • Series 99 within 120 days if role processes cash or security movements, otherwise Series 7 a plus.
  • Understanding of advisory/managed accounts.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to perform complex problem solving.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments; work under pressure and within deadlines and produce accurate, high quality results.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Passion for providing high-value client service.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively, relating to others in order to accomplish work responsibilities and objectives.
  • Diverse understanding of operational procedures and processes.
